Cahier for parents
Cahier turns the handouts from your child's French, Spanish or Latin class into practice for the next test. Here's what happens to their work, and what you control.
What it does
Your child uploads photos or PDFs of class handouts. An AI (Claude, made by Anthropic) reads them and writes practice questions. Our code checks every answer key, grades every answer, and schedules short reviews up to the test date.
Age
Cahier is for ages 13 and up. It asks for a birth month and year before sign-up and stores only the age group (13–17 or 18+), never the birth date. Under-13s are stopped before an account exists.
Paying
Students under 18 can't pay themselves. They send you a link from the Billing page; you pick a plan and pay through Lemon Squeezy, which sends the receipts and handles cancellations. The same link lets you cancel later.
Teachers and classes
If your child joins a class, the teacher sees their display name, scores on the units the teacher assigned, and the kinds of mistakes they make. The teacher never sees what they type, their other units or their handouts.
Data
No ads, no tracking cookies, no data sales, and nobody trains AI on it. Uploaded handouts are deleted 30 days after a unit is built. You can ask to see, correct or delete your child's data, and the account can be deleted at any time from Account → Delete my account.
